Just as the hydraulic system has higher requirements for the cleanliness of hydraulic oil, the pneumatic system also has higher requirements for compressed air: the air discharged by the air compressor cannot be directly used by the pneumatic device. The air compressor sucks air containing moisture and dust from the atmosphere. After compression, the temperature of the air rises to more than 100 ℃, and the lubricating oil in the air compressor also becomes gaseous. Thus, the compressed air discharged from the air compressor is a high-temperature gas containing oil, moisture and dust. If this compressed air is directly sent to the pneumatic system, the reliability and service life of the pneumatic system will be greatly reduced due to poor air quality, and the resulting losses will often greatly exceed the cost and maintenance cost of the gas source treatment device, so it is necessary to select the gas source treatment system correctly.

In terms of air source treatment, many businesses choose filter plus cold dryer, but the suction dryer is different from the cold dryer. The cold dryer can do it, but the cold dryer is far from enough to meet the requirements of the suction dryer.

Today, I will take you to know the difference between the suction dryer and the cold dryer. Due to the large amount of content, the small series will be divided into two periods to explain.

1. Different working principles:

Based on the principle of freezing and dehumidification, the chiller cools the saturated compressed air from the upstream to a certain dew point temperature through heat exchange with the refrigerant, condenses and precipitates a large amount of liquid water, which is automatically discharged from the machine after being separated by the gas-liquid separator, so as to achieve the purpose of water removal and drying. The dryer is based on the principle of pressure swing adsorption, which absorbs most of the moisture in the desiccant by contacting the saturated compressed air from the upstream with the desiccant under a certain pressure, and the dry air enters the downstream to work, so as to achieve the purpose of deep drying.

2. Different water removal effects:

Restricted by its principle, the cold dryer will freeze if the temperature is too low, so its dew point temperature is usually 2~10 ℃. Since the dryer does not need to change the temperature, and the desiccant (alumina) can be deeply dried, the dew point temperature at its outlet can usually reach below -20 ℃, that is, it can achieve deep drying.
